GTA 6 Price Officially Confirmed — $79.99 Standard Edition, $99.99 Ultimate Edition, Pre-Orders Live June 25

The Price Is Finally Official

After months of leaks, rumors, and speculation ranging from $69.99 all the way up to $150, Rockstar Games has officially confirmed Grand Theft Auto 6's pricing. The Standard Edition will cost $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition will cost $99.99. Pre-orders go live at midnight local time on June 25, 2026, across all major digital storefronts and select retail partners including PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Rockstar Store, Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop.

What's in Each Edition

The Standard Edition at $79.99 includes the full base game. The Ultimate Edition at $99.99 includes the base game plus additional in-game content. Notably, Rockstar has confirmed there are only two editions — no Special Edition, no SteelBook, and no Collector's Edition. This is a departure from GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, both of which had multiple collector tiers. The Ultimate Edition upgrade will also be available to purchase separately by Standard Edition owners at any time after launch.

The Pre-Order Bonus — Vintage Vice City Pack

Anyone who pre-orders or purchases GTA 6 before November 20, 2026 — essentially any day-one buyer — will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack. This includes a classic 1955 Vapid Stanier sedan, an Ocean Beach garage, vintage outfits and hairstyles for both Jason and Lucia, and an exclusive weapon pattern that references the excess of Vice City's neon era. It is described by Rockstar as items that "flash back to when the neon burned brightest."

Pre-Loading Starts November 12 — A Full Week Early

Digital pre-order buyers and physical copy buyers alike can begin pre-loading GTA 6 from November 12, 2026 — a full seven days before the official November 19 launch. This is one of the most fan-friendly pre-load windows Rockstar has ever offered, ensuring that nobody misses out on day-one access due to slow download speeds on launch night.

What This Means for Indian Gamers

Indian pricing has not been officially confirmed in rupees yet but based on the $79.99 standard price and typical Indian PlayStation Store pricing patterns, expect the Standard Edition to land somewhere between ₹6,999 and ₹7,499 and the Ultimate Edition between ₹8,499 and ₹9,999. Indian pre-orders will be live on PlayStation Store and Xbox Store from June 25. Amazon India and Flipkart physical listings are expected to go up the same day. The Vintage Vice City Pack pre-order bonus is available in India just like everywhere else — so pre-ordering as early as possible is worthwhile.

My Take

$79.99 is the price many expected and honestly it feels fair for what GTA 6 is delivering. It is the first major AAA game to establish $80 as a new baseline price point at this scale, which is significant for the industry. The Vintage Vice City Pack is a genuinely great pre-order bonus — a classic car, a garage, and vintage outfits for both protagonists is exactly the kind of nostalgia bait that works perfectly. Pre-order opens tonight at midnight. Set your alarms.
